COVID-19 VACCINATION POLICY
(Note: This is a policy that provides non-disciplinary alternatives if an employee/student elects not to be vaccinated. It is not a mandatory vaccination policy)

Purpose
Covid-19 is a serious condition and has had a devastating impact on Canadian and other s across the globe. The Terrazzo, Tile & Marble Trade School, Inc. (the ”TTMTS”) is committed to providing students, employees, contractors, customers and visitors with a safe and healthy learning and work environment consistent with its legislative obligations. It therefore adopts this Policy to protect the health and well-being of our students, employees, contractors, customers and visitors.
Application
This policy applies to the following individuals (Individual” or Individuals”)
Employees, Students, Contractors and Visitors.

Effective Date
This Policy is in effect as of September 7, 2021.
Vaccination Requirement
The TTMTS asks that each individual get vaccinated against COVID-19. Vaccination includes any subsequent dose, boosters or boosters that may be required or recommended by the provincial government and/or public health authorities. In order to be considered vaccinated, an individual must have received two doses of a World Health Organization approved vaccine and two weeks have elapsed since the second dose of the vaccine was administered to the individual.
Between September 7, 2021 and October 13, 2021 all individuals who attend at the TTMTS facility must:
Be vaccinated and have provided proof of vaccination to Robert Roppa, the Coordinator or Chief Instructor.
Provide proof of two negative COVID-19 rapid antigen tests per week as set out in section 4 of the Policy and comply with additional measures as required by the TTMTS to reduce the potential for COVID-19 transmission in the facility. This may include the continued use of personal protective equipment (when no longer required by law), physical distancing, restriction on use of certain common areas, or other measures deemed necessary by the TTMTS.
For clarity, individuals who have been granted an accommodation request or are awaiting a decision with respect to an accommodation request pursuant to section 3 of the Policy must participate in rapid antigen testing as set out in section 4 of the Policy.
Effective October 13, 2021, Individuals will not be permitted to attend at the TTMTS facility unless they:
Are vaccinated and have provided proof of vaccination to Robert Roppa, the Coordinator or the Chief Instructor
Have been granted an accommodation or are awaiting a decision from the TTMTS with respect to an accommodation request pursuant to section 3 of the Policy; and are complying with the rapid antigen testing requirements set out in section 4 of the Policy and additional measures as required by the TTMTS to reduce the potential for COVID-19 transmission in the facility. This may include the continued use of personal protective equipment (when no longer required by law), physical distancing, restriction on use of certain common areas, or other measures deemed necessary by the TTMTS.
Individuals who cannot be vaccinated for a reason prospected by the provincial human rights legislation (such as medical condition) must submit a request for accommodation to Robert Roppa, the Coordinator or the Chief Instructor. The individual may need to provide medical documentation or other proof to support the accommodation request. Such requests should be made at time of application submittal in order to ensure that individuals are permitted to attend at the TTMTS facility subsequent to October 13, 2021. An individual who is awaiting a decision with respect to an accommodation request must comply with the testing requirements under section 4 of the Policy and additional measures as required by the TTMTS to reduce the potential for COVID-19 transmission in the facility. This may include the continued use of personal protective equipment (when no longer required by law), physical distancing, restriction on use of certain common areas, or other measures deemed necessary by the TTMTS.

Individuals who are required to participate in rapid antigen testing pursuant to section 1 and 2 of the Policy shall comply testing requirements and procedures set out by the TTMTS. TTMTS will require two negative COVID-19 rapid antigen tests per seven-day period. The tests will be separated by a minimum of 72 hours. Two negative COVID-19 tests must be completed commencing one week before an Individual attends at the TTMTS facility, they will again need to provide two negative COVID-19 rapid antigen tests per seven-day period, with each test separated by a minimum of 72 hours, commencing one week before the Individual returns to the TTMTS facility. TTMTS will arrange for tests to be administered and will not accept self-administered test results.

Any individual who contravenes the Policy or who are found to have submitted fraudulent proof of vaccination, fraudulent documentation supporting an accommodation, or a fraudulent COVID-19 test result will be subject to discipline, up to and including a prohibition from attending at the TTMTS facility and/or work sits, expulsion from TTMTS and/or termination from employment for cause.

Proof of Vaccination
Any vaccination records maintained will only be accessible by Robert Roppa, the Coordinator or the Chief Instructor and will be securely stored with appropriate physical and technical safeguards. The information will not be disclosed to any third party without the individual’s consent, unless required by law.
